Good night/ Bad night

So, I went out last night. I went out by myself, planning on meeting up with people. That's the great thing about being back home - you are bound to run into at least ONE person you know at the bar!

Anyway, I went, and actually ran into many people I knew. I got a drink, scanned the bar for friends, and settled into a little group, catching up and making small talk.

Then a guy walked by. A guy that I swore I went to high school with. I asked my friend if it was him - and, in fact, it WAS! I love running into guys from high school. I mean, I came out my junior year, so to run into people now is just hilarious. So, he came back by, I introduced myself, he got a little freaked out, blah blah. But, as the night went on, he chilled out, and we all ended up on the dance floor having a good time! I hope I run into him again, so we can catch up more!

Now the bad part of the night. See, there is this other guy who keeps asking me out to lunch or coffee. Which is usually not a big deal, except for the fact that this boy has a boyfriend. Now, that's not a good reason not to have lunch with someone, but .... he's not all that interesting to begin with.
Anyway, I saw him out, across the bar. Now, the bar is PACKED with people, so I didn't want to force my way thru the bar to say hi. Well, later he comes up to me all bitchy-like and says, "So, you aren't going to say hi to me?" Well, with that attitude, NO! I'm not. Well, he got all upset, and continued to tell me how much of a bitch I was, so I just went along with it, and continued to be a bitch. I mean, he already thought I was bitchy, why not just go with it. Well, I doubt that he'll be asking me to lunch anytime soon!
So, that was my night out! Oh, and I barely drank! Jeez!

Where's Waldo?

So, life back home. For the most part, things are going well. I started taking dance classes. Although they are kicking my ass, I'm having a good time, and getting some good feedback from the teachers and students. I still feel like a complete moron in class, but it'll get better in time.

The job hunt was gone well. I've been hired at Starbucks ... but I don't start 'til the 27th. Which is nice - I get to enjoy my Thanksgiving! I'm also assistant coaching the drama team at a high school here in town. So, still doing the theatre stuff, too! And I'm sure I'll be helping my brother with shows here and there, and maybe eventually I'll actually BE in one!

The social life part of being home kinda sucks. It's hard to jump into a group of people. People have there little groups - it's hard to break the circle, ya know? I have a few friends here, but it's still odd. I've been gone for a while, and trying to catch up is difficult.

But I'm sure that things will pan out, and I'll get into a groove, and all will be well. I miss tour, and always having someone to hang out with. But, a new chapter, a new challenge! I've just got to get Waldo to Lafayette!

OH YEAH!

I had the weirdest craving the other day. It was for Kool-Aid. Now, I can't tell you the last time that I had Kool-Aid, but when I was younger we had it all the time. And what was my favorite flavor?

Red.

What's crazier that having a craving for Kool-Aid? The fact that my mom actually HAD Kool-Aid in the house! OH YEAH! So, I whipped up some Kool-Aid and felt like a 7 year old again!

LLAMA! LLAMA FACE!!!

So, my friend James gets really bored at work and sends me links to these crazy ass websites. Who knows where he finds these things.
So, he sent me one about this llama ranch. You can go and ride a llama! How freakin' fun is that? It's all your dreams come true.
Then I read this :
What if you're really attached to that llama you ride? No problem! Just sign up for the Llama Weekender™ package. Bob will take your favorite llama, and turn it into some great items. You'll get:
2 Llama Coats
2 Llama Safari-Style Hats
1 Set of Llama Auto Seat Covers
20 Pounds of Ground Llama
10 Pounds of Llama Chops
EWW! I don't want to ride a llama, and then have you kill it so I can take it home to wear and eat it! That's gross!
" Hey Kathy! How was your llama riding vacation?"
"Well Sue, I loved it. I rode Mohhamed, and loved him so much, I had him killed. Oh, here's a coat!"
Nasty!

Ooooh, Miss Tyra is MAD! And I have been, too! Why you ask? Cause I wasn't able to keep up with ANTM when I was on the road! But, thanks to my mom and the all powerful TiVo, I'm all caught up and you better believe that I will be tuning in tonight! WOO! I can't wait. I'm gonna go practice model faces in the mirror!

My name...

Well, growing up with the name Casey wasn't the easiest. It's a girl's name. Well, have I got news for you!
I tested my name out on Howmanyofme.com/ . Well, I type my name in, and guess what?
It says that 65.06 of people with the first name Casey ... ARE MALE!!!

Heroes

I'm addicted to another TV show. Heroes on NBC! All about these people finding out they have super powers and whatnot. I thought it was going to be kinda lame, but I've been watching it - and it ROCKS! I am totally addicted!
So, go watch it! And save the cheerleader - save the WORLD!

End of the Road!

So, the end has come ... again! I finished my last week on the road yesterday. My last week was in Lafayette - my hometown. So, now I am back home, and enjoying it!

Unlike Dustin, I'll keep blogging! I've got too many people out there, so this is a great way to keep everyone informed on the crazy life of me! So, keep tuning in!

At the bar...

Last night a bunch of us went to the bar. The ballet bar.

Yah, I went and took a ballet class. I'll admit - I had a good time. Although, I felt like a complete moron at times!

Here I am, in a room with about 7 other dancers - WHO KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING - and then there is me, trying to fake it!

Well, I must have done some of it right, because my legs are KILLING me today!

I am looking forward to getting into some classes while I am home, and hopefully one day I can look as cool as this guy in his legwarmers! Work it gurl!

Chicago...

I've been thinking about what I am going to do after tour. I know that I am going home to Louisiana for a while, but I also know that I don't want to stay there forever. I've thought about NYC - but recently I've been thinking of Chicago. Thanks to the wonderful world of blogging, I've met lots of cool people from there. Also, I've had a few friends move there. I've heard it's like NYC, but a little watered down. From Chargenda's blog, there are some great places to eat, so I won't go hungry! What do you guys think???

Difrankenstein!

See that lady in the middle? That's Dawn. She was my manager for 2 years, plus a few weeks overseas. Yah, she put up with THAT much of my bullshit!
Anyway, she lives in Raliegh in a brand new little gingerbread house that she bought cause she's all grown up and off of tour. So, we ( my manager Jeff, my performance director Christa, our sound guy Mike, and I) are hopping in a car and going down to visit her. YAH!
I can't wait to see her new house, and drink some wine, and I am sure that she will talk about herself for a few hours. And by few, I mean that entire time that we are there, give or take a few minutes! ;)
So, here's to Dawn. I can't wait for the chicken parm!!!

Fun times in Florida!

We've been in Florida for about 5 weeks now. We've played Tampa, West Palm Beach, Ft. Lauderdale, Orlando, and this week we are playing Gainesville and Ft. Meyers! It's been a blast here in Florida. We've had fun in sun, even though it is hot as hell.
But, this is our last week in Florida. Next week, we leave the Sunshine state and head to Charlotte, NC. Then, LAFAYETTE, LA!!! And then I am done. WOO HOO!
So, here's to Florida! It's been fun.

A moment of silence...

I swear these things only happen to me. So, my last night in Orlando, I went out, and got back home and parked my car in the driveway as usual. I didn't lock the door. I don't think that I locked the door for most of the week. It's a nice neighborhood.
Well, this morning, loading all my shit into the car to drive to the hotel to head to the next city, and sadness. Someone went into the car, and went through my bag. Stupidly, they didn't open the major part with my digital camera, nor did they take my Gap or American Eagle card .... but they stole a dollar.
And my iPod that was connected to the radio.
I know, very sad. But, I have most of my music on the computer. And now everyone can burn me CD's! And hey, Christmas IS coming soon .... hint hint!
So, bye iPod. I hope someone enjoys the huge amounts of gay music that was on there as much as I did!

DISNEY!!!

WE'RE GOING TO DISNEYWORLD!!! Well, actually, we already went. Jeffo and I got up early Tuesday morning to get in as much Disney as possible! We started at Animal Kingdom, which is where I was a slave to the mouse. We got VIP seating for Festival of the Lion King - thanks Tonya! I used to do this show when I worked there. Well, I rather walk on my lips than talk bad about somebody .... but it sucked.

Moving on to Expedition Everest - the new ride at AK! It was FUN! It's a rollercoaster ... and the bitch went backwards for a bit. Jeffo and I were highly entertained!

Well, that's about all you can do at AK, so we trotted off to MGM Studios. We saw a few shows, rode a few rides, and ate! Yummy Prime Time Cafe! Jeffo screamed like a little girl on Tower of Terror cause he didn't have a handlebar! It was awesome. And Rockin' RollerCoaster broke down right before we got on it. FREAKY!!!

So, after that, we went over to Epcot for the Food and Wine Festival. It was perfect for Jeffo and I. We both are kinda geeks and like all the sciency stuff, and we like food and wine! We were in heaven!

So, we played in Future Showcase for a while, then hit the World Showcase to get our drink and grub on! Well, I must say ... it was awesome! The food and wine were great, and relatively cheap for Disney! We had a blast!

So, overall, it was a fun day at the parks. We had a great time!

And I love one of their new quotes .... Disney, where once upon a dream happens once upon a day!

Letting Go...

I've been doing a lot of thinking. I hate when I get in moods like this - where I over-analyze everything.

I've realized that if you hold on too tightly to the past, you lose your grip on everything else. It's the past. It can't be changed. You can't go back to it. You've just got to let go.

When ya let go, you can move on. Move on to things you don't know yet. We know how the past ends up. You can't change it. But the future is unwritten. You can make it what you wish. You can make it better.

So, here is to remembering the past, and remembering that the future is yet to come!

My week in West Palm Beach, FL!

Last week we were in West Palm Beach - our second week in FL. Have I mentioned how freaking hot it is in Florida?

Anywho, we were in West Palm. There really wasn't much going on. We were in a nice hotel - which means that everything cost money. But, we still had a good time. Thanks to 4-packs of wine. How cute are these? These 4 bottles equal a whole bottle of wine, but the are MUCH cuter! And you don't feel pressured to open and drink the entire bottle of wine! They are great! Loves it!
And, since the internet was cheaper at Starbucks than the hotel, we pretty much drowned ourselves in Starbucks. I freaking love coffee! I really want to work there - not only for the health benefits .... BUT FOR THE COFFEE!!! God, I will be so caffinated!

We also tanned! Gotta love soaking up the sun! I'm gonna miss not going out by the pool, or to the beach and just laying out. :(

BEACH!!!

So, you guys wanted more pics of me on tour! Ask and you shall recieve!

This week we are in Ft. Lauderdale this week, and our hotel is RIGHT ON THE BEACH! We've been spending some time down there, enjoying our days off and working on the tans!

Here's a picture of Janice, me, and Dani - the 3 understudies in the show! TEAM US! These girls are great! Aren't we cute???

And this is a pic of the view from the back of our hotel! Hmm, livin' the life!

Information Superhighway - Exit CLOSED!

I don't get it. I know that Florida is a major vacation spot ... but is it SO hard to get internet access out here? Does it REALLY cost $10 a day to get the internet out here? Do you have to ship it in from somewhere else? Does Florida pay taxes on it's internet? I just don't get it!

That's me and my camels, searching for the nearest Starbucks to at least get the internet for a little cheaper! ;)

This week in Tampa, FL!

So, last week we were in Tampa, FL - the first of a few weeks here in Florida. It's hot as hell!

So, I was taking over for our performance director this week cause she went off to get married! CONGRATS CHRISTA AND MIKE! So, that put me all in charge and shit!

Ugh, it was madness! It's hard being in an authoritive position. Whereas doing the show is physically tiring, this was mentally tiring. My brain hurt all week. Or maybe that was a hangover from all the alcohol? Who knows?

Anyway, I had a fun time. It was a great experience! Oh, and I got my own room for the weekend. YAH! Nothing better than running around the room naked! YEE HAW!

As far as Tampa, it was pretty calm. My friends Jay and Victor came into town, and they took me out around Tampa. I think I went to almost every gay bar in Tampa. OOF! So, it's nice to be back in my furry little costume, and to be able to sleep in! :)

...on Grey's Anatomy

Yah, this was my reaction to Grey's Anatomy last night! I LOVE THIS SHOW!

Our show ended at 8:30 last night, and I RAN home to watch it. It's so great! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!

Love it!

Grey's Anatomy - total A+!

Thoughts on hotels...

So, I've been living out of hotels for the last 3 1/2 years. I've stayed in really nice hotels - and I've stayed in really crappy hotels.

But you know what I hate? Hotels where things are extremely overpriced! Like, paying for the internet. EVERYONE uses the internet! It's like oxygen - everyone needs it! Why are you going to charge $10 a DAY for it? Seriously? That's not neccessary! I paid for it for the day - and it's SLOW! Fuckers!

The restaurants in hotels are insane, too! Like, $15 for a freaking burger. Insanity!

And must the housekeeping staff wake me up at 8 AM to clean my room?

I just don't understand! If you are thinking that most of your guests are here on vacation, DON'T wake them up early to clean their rooms! They want to sleep in! And if you think that most of your guests are here on business - DON'T charge for internet! ASSES!

Late night, double feature, picture show!

So, we found ROCKY HORROR! We are here in Tampa, and there is a movie theatre that plays RHPS every Friday night and they have the live people, too! So, Jeffo and I went after work last night and checked it out. It was cool! It was my first time with all the audience particitpation stuff! WILD! These people were pretty hardcore, and it was obvious that they check this out every week. But, I loved it. Very fun! Good times!

"Even smiling makes my face ache!"

I don't think you're ready, for this TIMMY!

Hey world of bloggers! This .... is Timmy! She fucking rocks! I met this girl when she auditioned for Sesame Street. She walked in late, but still rocked the audition! Also, her name is Timmy. Timothy acutally! Awesome, huh! Well, at the audition, we thought we were calling up a guy, then she comes up ... hilarity ensues!

Well, she got hired, and I'm on tour with her, and she rocks! She's got a great voice, and knows all SORTS of musicals! She's also a pretty fierce muppet for her first year! And she's a super cool person, too!

Yesterday, we walked around downtown Tampa exploring. There wasn't much to explore, but we had a good time, then we stuffed our faces with Indian food! Good times!

So, here is to Timmy! You go girl! No, really, you go! BYE!

And THIS week in ATLANTA, GA!

Well, this week we are in Atlanta! GO PEACHES! It's a fun place! Kinda sucks that we stayed in a downtown area - it's always seems to be filled with homeless people and a few crazies! So, kinda scary!

But, I had some friends who live here - Jon and Brad - and it was great seeing them again and hanging out. That's one of the things that I love about tour - I get to visit people that I never really get to see! I especially like this tour that I am on now, cause it is cities that I haven't been to before, so it's friends that I haven't seen in a WHILE! Check the website - I might be headed your way!

Anyway, this week was cool. I went to the Bodies exhibit, which was awesome. I saw Jon and Brad. I hung out with Shane, a girl that was on tour last year, and we had quite the adventure trying to find a gay bar! (BUY A FUCKING RAFFLE TICKET!!!)

I also got to call the show this week. Our performance director is leaving next week to go and get married, so she is passing the baton and I am filling in for her for the week. That means I get to call all the curtain cues, and take notes, and be in CHARGE! WOO HOO! Go me! HAHA!

So, that's Atlanta. We head to Tampa tomorrow to start our stint in FL for the next few weeks! And they just had an earthquake in FL! Oh lord!

LAST week in SOUTHHAVEN, MS!

Whoops! I forgot to blog about last week! Sorry!

So, we were in Southhaven, MS ... which is right down the road from MEMPHIS!! I went sightseeing around Memphis - went to the Stax Recording Studio, which is now a museum of soul music. I saw the hotel where Martin Luther King, Jr. was shot. We ate at the Arcade, which was one of Elvis' favorite places. We went to Beale Street one night - drank to celebrate Janice's birthday, and a few people got sick! Heehee! Amatures!

Anyway, had a blast in Memphis/Southhaven! WOO!

BODIES!!!

I'm a huge science geek! I loved science in school. I love going to children's museums or science centers! So, when I saw that "BODIES - The Exhibition" was in Atlanta, I was WAY excited. I had heard about this before, and I really wanted to see it.

If ya haven't heard of it, it is this awesome exhibit of real humans bodies that have been preserved and are on display to show the different systems of the body. We went and saw it this afternoon, and I must say that it was amazing. It was hard to believe that these were REAL bodies.

Here's the link to their website. It was really cool, so see if it is coming to a city near you, and if it is, CHECK IT OUT!!!

http://bodiestheexhibition.com

It's SO Raven!

Ok, I have a new addiction. It's the Disney Channel! For some reason, the TV always ends up on this channel at night. And I can't stop watching the rediculous shows that are on this channel!!!! I love Raven! I think a have a crush on the guy from "Phil of the Future!" UGH!

But, I did see something cool this morning. John Tartaglia is doing some little show for Playhouse Disney - which are the morning shows geared toward kids! Here's something I found on YouTube. The show is called "Johnny and the Sprites."

So, go check out the Disney Channel! It's SO Raven!

Seriously??

Ok, seriously? So, we have this joke going around on tour about these things. If you don't know what they are, they are latex fists - well, whole arms actually. They are sex toys. Oh yah, "this" goes in "there". Guys, too. Frightening, huh?

So, anyway, I'm sure alcohol was involved and now we talk about these things ALL THE TIME on tour. It's funny. I mean, if i had one of these, I'd use it to do other things. Like, knock on doors. Or to punch people in the face. Or to play rock-paper-scissors ... but I would probably lose, cause I'd always pick rock.

So, here's to fists. And all the different things you can go with them!

wanna die, makes you cry, and I did!

We all went sightseeing earlier this week. Well, before we headed home, we stopped in a little mall thing to use the restroom and check out a few shops. As we were waiting for everyone to meet back up, I got some Starbucks and sat around the fountain. Well, this little girl and her mom stopped at the fountain a few yards away from us. This little girl was obviously sick, and looked as though she had gone thru chemo. She carried with her a carryon-sized bag. I watched for a bit, and saw that she had tubes leading from under her shirt to the bag. Well, they sat down, and the mom started to open the bag, and change the girl's tubes.

It was so odd because it seemed so routine for them. The mom was even on her cell phone at times, and seemed to go through the motions without even thinking about it. The girl did look like she was in some pain, too.

As I was watching her, I just felt so sorry for her. But I was so proud of her. She seemed so courageous. I really wanted to go up to her and talk to her. I wondered how old she was. I wondered if she had friends that she hung out with, or did this limit the things that she could do. I wanted to invite her and her mom to come see our show. I wanted to give her a penny to throw into the fountain to make a wish. I just felt like I needed to do something for this girl.

Well, I almost got enough courage to do it, and walked near her. But her mom was fixing the tubes and I felt bad interrupting that. So we walked away and left. I hope that the little girl is doing well, and that she will be for many, many years. And I wish she new how much I admired her.

PHOTOSHOOT TIME!!!!

I did it. I bought a NEW digital camera. I finally got over the trauma of losing the past TWO that I had, and decided to buy another one. This one was only about $140 and then I got a memory card for it, so it ended up being about $200. Not too shabby! It's a pretty nice camera - so let's all pray that I can keep tabs on it! :)
