umm ... what?

So, I've started my lovely new job at Starbucks.

And you know what ... I never knew coffee could be so complicated!

I mean, it's not THAT difficult. But it's learning something new - which I haven't had to do in a few years. And Starbucks is like the "Disney" of coffee. There is this HUGE training booklet that you have to go through, and all these rules, and procedures, and this, that, and the other!

Training is going ok. I mean, we read over something, and talk about it, and I'm ok. Then when I go to actually do it, I become totally retarded. I'm sure after a little practice I'll be fine, but I feel like a goober.

But hey, I'm getting paid for it!

Lethargic...

Yup, that's me. Lethargic.
I have been insanely lazy. No work this week. No ballet class this week. Just eating, and drinking a little. And lots and lots of sleep.

Well, it's all ending Monday. I start at Starbucks, and straight from there I head to the high school. After that, right to dance class. Oh, what a day. Then, do it all over again the next day!

I'm kinda looking forward to being so busy. But, I'm afraid that I am going to be dead tired. Well, thank God for caffine!

Happy Turkey Day!

HELL!

Boo! Cox Communications is a retard. So, our cable goes out all the time. I mean, we kinda live out in the boonies, but still!

And yesterday, the cable went out. Right around Oprah time! Well, when the cable goes out, the internet and the phone goes with it. Well, cable came back. Then the phone. But the internet was GONE!

And it stayed that way ALL NIGHT! Seems we needed to reboot the router, but I had no idea how to do that. I was without the internet ALL NIGHT!

I know, I'm addicted.

Cruisin'

This weekend - well, Sunday - I drove on over to see my girl, Christina. Christina and I toured together for a while, and were roommates a bunch. When we toured internationally, we decided that we were tour husband and wife, and that these worldly excursions were our honeymoon!

Well, she is currently dancing for Carnival Cruises on the Conquest. They port in Galveston, TX so I decided to drive the few hours to visit her. I also went to visit Steve, one of the guys who dances with her. Christina brought Steve to see Sesame Street when were were in Ft. Lauderdale. Steve's a great guy ... and Australian. :)

So, I drove down there and hung out with them for the afternoon. We had a great little afternoon - catching up, taking them to Target, and having lunch at Chili's.

It sucks that I couldn't have spent more time with them. It makes me want to book a cruise so I can see them for a whole week! Or maybe work on the dancing some more, audition, and go work with them!

So, to those two - miss you guys, and hope to see you again soon!!!

Party time! Excellent!

THANKSGIVING WEEK! WOO HOO! I'm way excited about Thursday. I can't wait to eat myself into a food coma! Yummy!

But, the sucky part about this week. Well, I don't start a Starbucks 'til next week, and school is out for the week, so I'm not working there either. That leaves me with nothing to do but dance class.

blah!

So, I'm bored. And on a budget.

Hoorah! :(

Whatever, whatever.

Last night, I went out with my friend Chelsea. We went see a dance concert at the college and after, we decided to get a bite to eat before we hit the bar.

So, we drove to Taco Bell. Now, it's a Friday night at around 9:45. And there is NO WHERE to park at the Taco Bell. Seriously? I didn't know that Taco Bell was such a popular hangout?

Well, we park, and we go in, and we are eating. Well, Chelsea and I overhear a conversation that is happening at a table behind Chels. Now, I can see these two girls, and they are total sorority material. So, we hear this ...

"I was like, Fuck her, whatever whatever."

Well, that made us laugh. But it got better.

"And I was like, It's Twister!"

The girl continued to tell a story of game night gone wrong. Apparently, the "other" girl played the game differntly, and yelled at this girl, and this girl started crying and ran into the kitchen, and it was all a big deal. Meanwhile, Chels and I are choking on tacos.

This is Jeopardy!

I love this show! Having so much time off has given me a chance to watch this every day, and I love it. You'd be surprised how much random information you actually know. And, I love when there is a category that I actually know something about, cause then I can answer all the questions!
I'm sure if I was actually on the show I would suck royally. Oh well.

A thought....

Dance belts.

They aren't comfortable.

Good night/ Bad night

So, I went out last night. I went out by myself, planning on meeting up with people. That's the great thing about being back home - you are bound to run into at least ONE person you know at the bar!

Anyway, I went, and actually ran into many people I knew. I got a drink, scanned the bar for friends, and settled into a little group, catching up and making small talk.

Then a guy walked by. A guy that I swore I went to high school with. I asked my friend if it was him - and, in fact, it WAS! I love running into guys from high school. I mean, I came out my junior year, so to run into people now is just hilarious. So, he came back by, I introduced myself, he got a little freaked out, blah blah. But, as the night went on, he chilled out, and we all ended up on the dance floor having a good time! I hope I run into him again, so we can catch up more!

Now the bad part of the night. See, there is this other guy who keeps asking me out to lunch or coffee. Which is usually not a big deal, except for the fact that this boy has a boyfriend. Now, that's not a good reason not to have lunch with someone, but .... he's not all that interesting to begin with.
Anyway, I saw him out, across the bar. Now, the bar is PACKED with people, so I didn't want to force my way thru the bar to say hi. Well, later he comes up to me all bitchy-like and says, "So, you aren't going to say hi to me?" Well, with that attitude, NO! I'm not. Well, he got all upset, and continued to tell me how much of a bitch I was, so I just went along with it, and continued to be a bitch. I mean, he already thought I was bitchy, why not just go with it. Well, I doubt that he'll be asking me to lunch anytime soon!
So, that was my night out! Oh, and I barely drank! Jeez!

Where's Waldo?

So, life back home. For the most part, things are going well. I started taking dance classes. Although they are kicking my ass, I'm having a good time, and getting some good feedback from the teachers and students. I still feel like a complete moron in class, but it'll get better in time.

The job hunt was gone well. I've been hired at Starbucks ... but I don't start 'til the 27th. Which is nice - I get to enjoy my Thanksgiving! I'm also assistant coaching the drama team at a high school here in town. So, still doing the theatre stuff, too! And I'm sure I'll be helping my brother with shows here and there, and maybe eventually I'll actually BE in one!

The social life part of being home kinda sucks. It's hard to jump into a group of people. People have there little groups - it's hard to break the circle, ya know? I have a few friends here, but it's still odd. I've been gone for a while, and trying to catch up is difficult.

But I'm sure that things will pan out, and I'll get into a groove, and all will be well. I miss tour, and always having someone to hang out with. But, a new chapter, a new challenge! I've just got to get Waldo to Lafayette!

OH YEAH!

I had the weirdest craving the other day. It was for Kool-Aid. Now, I can't tell you the last time that I had Kool-Aid, but when I was younger we had it all the time. And what was my favorite flavor?

Red.

What's crazier that having a craving for Kool-Aid? The fact that my mom actually HAD Kool-Aid in the house! OH YEAH! So, I whipped up some Kool-Aid and felt like a 7 year old again!

LLAMA! LLAMA FACE!!!

So, my friend James gets really bored at work and sends me links to these crazy ass websites. Who knows where he finds these things.
So, he sent me one about this llama ranch. You can go and ride a llama! How freakin' fun is that? It's all your dreams come true.
Then I read this :
What if you're really attached to that llama you ride? No problem! Just sign up for the Llama Weekender™ package. Bob will take your favorite llama, and turn it into some great items. You'll get:
2 Llama Coats
2 Llama Safari-Style Hats
1 Set of Llama Auto Seat Covers
20 Pounds of Ground Llama
10 Pounds of Llama Chops
EWW! I don't want to ride a llama, and then have you kill it so I can take it home to wear and eat it! That's gross!
" Hey Kathy! How was your llama riding vacation?"
"Well Sue, I loved it. I rode Mohhamed, and loved him so much, I had him killed. Oh, here's a coat!"
Nasty!

But, thanks to my mom and the all powerful TiVo, I'm all caught up and you better believe that I will be tuning in tonight! WOO! I can't wait. I'm gonna go practice model faces in the mirror!
