Still thirsty? PARCHED!!!

Dude, I love this stuff. It taste great and it is good for you. Yum Yum!

What's your fave drink? (yah, that's right, I just stole the "afterthought" question from Dustin's blog! haha)

MATT'S A BIG LOSER!

So, that's a picture of Matt Hoover when he started on "The Biggest Loser." Tonight was the season finale and he won. He lost about 46% of his starting weight. That's almost half. THE GUY PRACTICALLY CUT HIMSELF IN HALF!!! They had the rest of the competitors on, and they all looked amazing. I give big props to all the people on "The Biggest Loser." It takes a lot of guts to get on television and deal with your weight issues. They all deserved the amazing new bodies they have and the new leases on life that they now have also. Makes me want to go work out more, ya know! Oh, and here is what Matt looks like now...

Damn DVR!!!

Ok, so I am totally having a crisis! Well, since I was not home last Wednesday because I was out seeing Rent, I totally missed America's Next Top Model. Well, I found out who got kicked off (which I am not happy about), so I totally want to see the episode. Well - here's where the drama is. See, our DVR picked this week to stop working. So, no ANTM was recorded. And sure, they replay it on Wednesday. BUT - that is the live season finale of The Biggest Loser. So, I can't watch both. AND I was planning on TiVo-ing "Debbie Does America" - this new show on TBS that looks really funny. When does it premier? TUESDAY!!! AGGHH!! What did I do before TiVo?

Lawn Chairs ... with wings!

Ok, so I hoped everyone had a great Thanksgiving! I hope you all ate tons and tons of food and got really fat. We can all start the new work out regimine on Monday.

Well, one thing that I am always thankful for is maxi pad commercials. Actually, any feminine product commercial. I mean, this is a hard market to work in. No one really wants to think about tampons or "freshness", nor do they want to be reminded of it while watching TV!

Well, I saw a great maxi pad commercial yesterday. It's just this maxi pad that unfolds itself and bends itself to look like a lawn chair. During this, there is a voice that is talking that ends with...

"If you're going to sit on it all day, it better be comfortable!"

Well, I'm not an expert on all this, but I seriously doubt that you SHOULD be sitting on one ALL DAY! But, I do agree that it should be comfortable. So, that's what I was thankful for this Thanksgiving.

HAPPY TURKEY DAY!!!

Mmmm, turkey! I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! I expect all of you to eat pounds and pounds of food, and then go into a a food coma. I'll be going to my aunt's house for the first time in like, 7 years. I was always working at Disney the 4 years I was there - and I was on the road for Thanksgiving the last few years. So, I am planning to pack it all in! After that, I am going to TWO other T-Day gatherings - where I'm sure I'll eat more! WOO HOO! Well, everyone eat up!

RENT!

Ok, I LOVE RENT! I always have. I've seen the stage production 4 times. I know all the words to all the songs, and even some of the dialogue. I even have Idina Menzel's CD "Still I Can't Be Still." Oh yah, I love it

So, I drove an hour to see the movie last night with my friend Blake, who is also a total Rent-head. We used to sing along to the CD all the time. We used to get a bunch of our friends together and act it out in his living room (yah I know, FREAKS!) So, we went to see it at 7:15, ut it was sold out. So we waited 3 1/2 hours for the next showing. YAH RENT! We were so excited!

Then the movie started. And honestly - I was not into it as I would be if I was seeing it on stage. I've always loved it on stage and have been totally into it. That feeling just didn't transfer well on the big screen.

The beginning was all out of whack - things in different orders. It was weird hearing what usually is sung only being spoken. I mean, overall, it was good. Rosario Dawson did a good job and Tracie Thoms was great. She WAY rocked it out! Some things were really great, but some things were just way dissapointing.

Personally, if you've never seen it on stage, then sure - go see the movie. I guess after lusting over the stage version for so long, it was hard to take in the movie. But, I still liked it. And I still cried! :)

Comments and Concerns

Ok, so here's the deal. I hear that a lot of people come and read my blog, but no one ever comments on anything. Excluding Dustin - he always comments! THANKS DUSTIN! So, if ya scroll on down to the end of this post, you'll see the little comment button. Click on it. Share a thought. It's fun. Oh, and let me know if you received Christ at this meeting. Mine is on backorder! :)

Emikle Turickle Critical Pickle!

So, that's me and my BFF Emily Turay. That was us singing it up at a karaoke bar in Hawaii! Em and I were on tour together 2 years ago, and we had so much fun. We'd sit at notes together and write crazy things in our notebooks, make up mad 80's jazz routines, .... We were just crazy! Well, she is in town with Sesame Street Live, so we got to hang out. We went to dinner the other night, and we hung out last night. She's great all around, and I was so glad to hang out with her. It was like no time had passed at all!
So, to explain the other two pics. Em and I were Telly and Baby Bear when we toured together. That is a pic of us doing our MAD 80's dance pose! Aren't we hot. Since we are both amazing 80's jazz dancers - we were going to open a dance studio called MAD 80's DANCE EXPLOSION! Well, these are totally the kind of outfits we would wear. HOTNESS all around!

The Peeps in Your Hood!

So, yesterday I went to "where the air is sweet!" That's right - I went see Sesame Street Live! All my friends touring with Elmo's Coloring Book are here in Lafayette, so I went to see the show. The show was awesome, as always. I saw my good friend Dustin - who is staying at my house this week - sing, and he was great! Everyone did a great job, and watching the show brought back a year full of memories!

Well, after they did 3 shows (haha, WORK BITCHES!), my parents invited the entire cast over for BBQ! It was awesome. There were about 20 -25 people from the cast, PLUS my family! So it was INSANE! But, everyone ate like fat girls and had a great time. A few people even rode our horse. As always, it was mass insanity, as is most of my family gatherings!

Well, I needed alcohol after all that, so we went out to the bar. It was awesome having all my Lafayette friends, PLUS my Sesame friends there. I also ran into some great friends from years gone by, so it was a great night. Lots of laughs, lots of drinks, FUN ALL AROUND!

So, here's BIG LOVE to all my Sesame peeps out there. You guys are all awesome and I wish I could be out there with you. But, children in HOLLAND need entertainment, too!

Go check out http://www.sesamestreetlive.com to see when they are in your town!

FAT GURL!!!

Oh yes, I love to eat. It's one of my favorite things to do. I thank the Lord sometimes for having a good metabolism, because without it I would be a huge blob! So, after watching SuperSize Me the other night, I've been thinking about what and how much I eat. If you guys haven't seen the movie, I'll share a little part of it with you ...
So, the guy orders a Double Quarter Pounder meal (my fave) and they ask him if he wants Super size, so he does. THEN, it shows him eating it. It takes him 22 minutes to finally finish it. Throughout the 22 min, he is really struggling to finish it all. Then, the climax - the throws it all up right after finishing.

See, I don't want - or need- to be eating that much! It's hard though. Portion sizes are so big here in America. Bigger than they were in past years, and bigger than in most other countries. No wonder the US is so freaking fat. It also doesn't help that I live in the South. All we do down here is eat!

So, as I take a look, and try to eat better and work out, and try not to have to go buy new jeans - I'd like to give a shout out to all my "FAT GURLS" out there. Those friends of mine that I can always count on to share a dessert, or want to go to dinner, or have a snack in their backpack! Here's to you ... Now let's go for seconds!

MOVIE NIGHT!!!

So, tonight Dustin and I had a movie night! Well, we hopped on down to Blockbuster to rent Saw because Dustin wanted to see the first one so he can go see the second one in the theatre. We also picked up SuperSize Me because neither of us had seen it and we are both fat girls! So, the girl working at the Blockbuster was a TOTAL BITCH and Dustin totally called her one under his breath as we were leaving. I was mad cause they didn't have any Sno-Caps, my favorite movie candy. ANYWAY, after some Top Model (I think I might have Dustin hooked) and a little Martha Stewart, we popped in the movies. Saw was totally creepy. I really didn't know much about the movie, but it was good. A total mind tickler! I guess I'll have to go see the second one now. Now, SuperSize Me was great. After being in Japan for 3 weeks and pretty much eating Mickey D's at least once a day - I know what it's like to be on a Mc Diet. Well, after seeing this movie, I don't think I want to eat McDonald's for a LONG LONG time. Sorry Ronald. So, movie night was fun ... and it totally beats lube wrestling at the local gay bar. ;)

Wife Swap ... Poetry in Motion

So, this week on Wife Swap, there was this crazy woman. She was a vegan - meaning she didn't eat any animal products - and she also only ate raw foods - nothing cooked. She also was developing a plan where instead of eating food, she would gather her engery from the sun. "It'll cure world hunger!" Well, once the actual swap happened, her "new" son spoke some lovely words....

"My new mom eats the sun. That's wierd!"

See what you people are missing by not watching these reality TV shows. These people are geniuses!!! :)

There's no place like high school!

High school girls are so annoying. I should know - try working with them. So, here I am - trying to choreograph the Wizard of Oz - pulling choreography out of my ass because I'm totally not prepared - and all these girls do is GIGGLE! THE DANCING IS NOT THAT FUNNY!!! I swear, I teach them and 8 count, and then they giggle. THEN, they forget everything I just taught them. And do I remember it .... of course NOT! That's their job! Oof , it is going to be a LONG rehearsal process!

And the card attatched would say ....

Thank you for being a friend! I am so excited that one of my dearest friends - Dustin - is staying at my house this entire week while he is in town performing with Sesame Street Live! It's gonna be nice to have someone to talk to instead of spending countless hours on the computer. Of course, my "get fit" plans are completely out the window because Dustin is a great cook, and we both like to drink ... so we'll be fat drunk messes for the week! But it will be so much fun! More stories of all the trouble we cause later!

HAPPY MADONNA DAY!

Hey all you queers out there. Madonna has a new CD out! Go buy it before your gay card gets revoked!!! :) Or be cheap and burn it from one of your gay friends! ;)

ZERO!

Yah, that's about how much money is in my checking account right now. Why, you ask? Well, because I was forgotten about! While in rehearsals, they forgot to pay me. There I was, waiting to get my paycheck just like everyone else ... but no, I DIDN'T! I was forgotten about. Well, guess who's gonna be paying for the overdraft charges? Trust me, I didn't forget!

The Finish Line...

So, I am all done with rehearsals in Minneapolis! I had a great time there. I met some AWESOME new people and reunited with a few great friends. We worked hard, and learned the whole show in about 3 days and then starting doing run-thrus! We also had our two live performers from Holland come rehearse, too. They are nuts! Unlike our Japanese live performer who taught herself the whole show off of a video before she got to the US, these girls knew NOTHING!!! One is a musical theatre person in Holland, but the other is a "Regis and Kelly" kind of TV personality. Oh ... and she can't sing or dance. HELLO!!!! Anyway, we had a great time, lots of laughs, and I can't wait to see everyone again in 5 weeks. Well, now that I am back home in Louisiana, I'll be working with my brother on some shows here in town, and trying to get back into shape so I don't DIE in Holland! Also, I get to see my great friend Dustin next week - along with my BFF Emily! WOO HOO!!! I get to take them out in grand ol' Lafayette! HAHA! Well, I'm totally pooped from traveling, so I am off to bed!

Ouch!

Well, I'm at it again - back in Minneapolis for rehearsals. It was so nice passing by Sexworld again, and walking into the Towne Place Suites was liking coming home. Rehearsals are going well. The new cast has picked up pretty quick and I've been trying to learn everyone's track!Of course, since I sat on my ass for TWO MONTHS, my body is aching. I feel like an old man. Actually, the first day of rehearsal I had the WORST headache - dehydration? Maybe motion sickness? Ha! Anyway, we are having fun and working hard! So, just a few more days here - then back home to Louisiana! Then I get to hang out with Dustin and Emily and all the ECB kids! YAH! Then ... THANKSGIVING!! Double YAH! But, through all that ... I WILL STAY ACTIVE!!! Ha. Well, off to dinner, then sleep for rehearsals tomorrow!

On the Road Again

Well everyone, it's back to the grind! I am heading back to lovely Minneapolis to get back to work. I'm really excited, after being unemployed for the last 2 months. I'll be up there for about a week, in rehearsals for Everyone Makes Music - the international tour of Sesame Street Live! We are headed to Holland in December, so we are going into rehearsals to train all the new people joining our cast, and to learn the whole show in Dutch. Which, by the way, sounds really funny. It just sounds like they keep clearing their throats! Anyway, I have a flight at 9 AM and it is currently 7 PM the night before - and I haven't packed a thing! :) Actually, I am still washing clothes that I'll be bringing with me. And of course, I will bring TWICE the amount of clothes I will actually wear. It's always better to be prepared ... and to have choices! I hope everyone out there is doing well, and I'll keep everyone updated on how rehearsals go. For any of you that I might see in the next few days ... I can't wait to see you guys!!! Well, I better attempt to start packing ...

Words to live by

Tonight on America's Next Top Model, Jayla spoke words that touched my heart in a way that I had to share them with all of you ...

"You're a stupid, stupid bitch!"

I've been touched. :)

Have fun with the captions for this one. It kinda speaks for itself!

Have You Seen This Child?

I have released the dogs! If anyone knows the whereabouts of a Mr. Dustin J. Harder, can you please tell that crazy bitch to CALL A HO BACK! Dude, I haven't talked to you in ages! I miss ya!
