How Rude!

Ok, so, maybe it's the Florida heat, but some people are just RUDE RUDE RUDE! I don't wanna name any names ... cause that would be rude ... but really! People who don't even know me are being rude. Now, if I did something, then sure, you can be rude. But just rude for no reason - well that's not necessary. Now look at this survey that I found. It's from CNN, and as you can see, these people that were questioned think that rudeness is getting worse! What the hell is wrong with people now? Get the stick out of your asses and BE NICE!!!! It's not that hard! Just smile and nod! :)

What's up with Jesus?

Ok, so I drove on down to Panama City to visit my friend Joey who is touring with the Sesame Street Live show "Out of this World." Well, as I was waiting for them to arrive in Panama City, I went on down the street to the nearby Starbucks. Well, there on the corner were about 6 people, kinda Mormon-looking, with signs like they were having a car wash. Well, it was NO car wash. These people were SCREAMING at the top of their lungs at the cars that were passing by. Then, on top of all that, while I was walking to the Starbucks, one of them starts screaming at ME! INSANITY!!! Now, I'm not all that up to date on my Bible study, but I seriously doubt that Jesus screamed the word of the Lord to people. So, my thoughts .... WHAT'S UP WITH JESUS???

Thoughts on the Housewives

Well, all of you should have wathched the season premier of Desperate Housewives. I personally know two girls who DID NOT watch it because they went to some STUPID concert ... Jestina and Joy shall remain nameless! :) Anyway, for those of you that did watch it - IT WAS AWESOME! Mainly because my fave housewife - Bree - was a freaking nutcase! And I loved every minute of it. Lynette was also very fabulous in this episode, and it is nice to see her doing more than carrying a baby on her hip! I'm not quite sure about that crazy Betty Black-lady! Ok, a person in her basement? SHE JUST MOVED IN! Did she ask for a house with a place to hold someone captive? I just don't get it. Anyway... if ya didn't tune in, you missed out. ABC has a GREAT Sunday line-up : Extreme Makeover, then Housewives, then Grey's Anatomy. That's a good 3 or 4 hours of television people!!! So, til next Sunday!

And there is more ....

Oh, and the 7-11 is not just for Slurpees! As you can see, you can also get a delicious hot dog or a Big Gulp! Just look at Shiquaila enjoying that Big Gulp full of Skrawberry Soda Water! Yummmmm! :)

The Slurpee People

So, my friend Dustin LOVES Slurpees. He loves them SO much, that he goes to the 7-Eleven website and looks for pictures of people drinking Slurpees, and he puts them on his blog. Well, I'd like to give a huge shout out to the 7-Eleven people for finding the BEST kids to be the Slurpee kids. I mean, look at them, aren't they AWESOME!! So, go be a big kid and order a Slurpee! YUM!

And I'll need the basket back!

Bree says DON'T FORGET THE SEASON PREMIER OF DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES!!! SUNDAY, SEPT. 25TH!!!!! She'll bring the muffins!

I HATE HURRICANES!

Ok, I'm SO over it. I grew up in Louisiana and then I moved to Florida. I have definately seen my share of hurricanes. I was there when Walt Disney World closed for the 1st time - for a hurricane. Since then, they have closed 3 or 4 other times. Living in Louisiana, hurricane season is something we just grew to live with. And yes, we had our share of heavey hitters - Andrew and others. Well, Katrina caused some damage that no one ever thought possible. New Orleans, a city that was known for the fun times had there, is now destroyed. I drove through Southern Mississippi on my way to Florida recently, and it was like a ghost town. Driving for miles though darkness and all of the businesses on the side of the highway closed and deserted. My hometown of Lafayette has seem to become a haven for those who have lost homes, belongings, famlies ... and most of all - hope. Now with Hurricane Rita on the way, these people are being asked to move once again, to make room for all of the people who are once again running. I can only imagine what the Gulf Coast will be like after these two hurricanes - and we can only pray that there are none on the way. My heart goes out to all of those affected by these two storms. I know that the city of Lafayette has opened it's arms to help all of those who need help. For all of you out of harm's way, DONATE to the Red Cross or the United Way. Places like New Orleans were starting on the way to recovery, and has ben pushed right back to where it started, if not further. The south needs all the help it can get. God bless all of you!

The Java Jive

So, Everyone know's I like coffee. Especially now that I have been home for a while, and away from the nasty coffee that they have in hotel rooms, I have been drinking coffee like i need it to survive. Well, I have good reason. Louisiana has been blessed with Community Coffee - what I think is the best coffee known to man. I've been drinking it since I was a little baby. My parents used to put in in our baby bottles with lots of milk. Maybe that explains it??? Anyway, it's great coffee, and it seems like we drink it all the time. Well, when Community Coffee is not available, the only solution is STARBUCKS! I mean, it's great! I am a HUGE fan of mocha ANYTHING! I love a good iced mocha - venti - no whip! So good. My friend Dawn is one of my coffee buddies. Unfortunately, we do not always see eye to eye on the coffee thing. See, she likes the coffee from a HORRIBLE place called Caribou Coffee. I call it CARI-POO COFFEE! It's gross, and it is no match for Community Coffee. Sorry Dawn! So, pour a cup of coffee and enjoy!

Raising Cane's

Ok, so if you have ever gone to dinner with me, you might know what a fan of chicken fingers I am. My friends Chris and Dawn swear that I eat them everywhere I go. And, yes, I do like them - and they are pretty much a safe choice where ever you go. Well, I am IN LOVE with Raising Cane's. It is a CHICKEN FINGER RESTAURANT. That's all they serve! Can it get any better? Well, it can! They have an amazing dipping sauce, and great texas toast (with a hint of garlic), AND they have SWEET TEA! This place was MADE for me! Anway, if you ever come across one - GO AND EAT! Oh, and don't forget to order the chicken fingers!

Look There!

Hey guys! Since I've been home, I've been working with a musical called Grand Pre'. It is about the deportation of the Acadians from Nova Scotia. Those who were exiled traveled down into the United States, and eventually Louisiana - becoming the Cajuns! My brother - Cody Daigle - wrote both book and helped with music, along with Roy Bertucci. Cody also directed and is performing in the show! The show is great, and brings a tear to my eye every time I watch it. We've got a GREAT cast, and I am proud of them every night I watch the show. So, keep an eye out - who knows where this show, or any other of Cody's writing is going! And if you were wondering, that picture is a painting of the exile of the Acadian's from Grand Pre.

Partner in Crime...

So, here's another one of my favorite people. This is Joey. Joey toured with me last year with Sesame Street Live, and he is once again touring this year. On a scale of 1 -10, he's probably at 11. The kid is a total social butterfly - always organizing some group function, or introducing himself to anyone who will actually listen. He's a great friend. He's only a phone call away, and he's always there to listen, or get random text messages when you are bored at the bar! Oh, my little Josephina! Miss ya and can't wait to see you in a few weeks!

The Housewives Return!!!

Oh yes! The Housewives are BACK! For those of you who didn't know, I am a HUGE Desperate Housewives fan. I started watching it a few episodes into the first season, and have pretty much watched it religiously ever since. Well, the 1st season is coming out on DVD Tuesday, Sept. 20th! So if you didn't watch it before, you have a few days to catch up before the season preimere on Sunday, Sept. 25th. I will be GLUED to the televison, AND YOU SHOULD BE TOO!! This is an AMAZING TV show, along with Extreme Makeover - Home Edition before it, and Grey's Anatomy after. These shows make for a great night of television. I'd also like to send much love to the Sunday night gang - Jes, Joy, Joey, Dustin, and all the others who joined us from time to time - I'll miss you guys on the 25th, but don't call til after it's done! :) P.S. Anyone notice who's in the middle of that picture. Oh yah, it's my girl Bree. She's the best!

DiFrankenstein!

So, this is the world - reknown Dawn! Yes, that's us throwning our friend Chris into a trashcan! Any guess why we get along? :) She's been my manager on my past 3 tours with Sesame Street Live! and she is currently a tour manager with "Clifford the Big Red Dog." It's been a blessing having Dawn around for the past couple of years. She is a great manager and she can debate ANY issue until you are blue in the face. She also knows where every Dunkin' Donuts, Chili's, and Old Navy is in the 50 states. She is also a gay magnet. She can pull a queer out of a crowd like nobody's business! (If you are still in the closet, stay clear of Dawn!) She's the bestest!

for more about Dustin....

Hey! If ya wanna get to know Dustin a little better, you can check out his blog. http://dustyjames.blogspot.com Have fun!

Dustin....

This is my lovely and talented friend Dustin. He's the guy that got me on to all this funky blog stuff. We met last year, touring with Sesame Street Live. Yah, that's him as Professor Art! He's a wonderful singer, but his dancing could use some work - just kidding! I can honestly say that he is one of my favorite people in the whole world. AND I get to see him next week! I'M SO EXCITED!!! Dustin - love ya bitch!
