A-K-E-E-L-A-H!

So, I had been wanting to see this movie for the longest time. I drink Starbucks all the time, so I saw all the advertisment for it. Hey, if Starbucks makes it, is has to be good!

So, after many failed attempts at seeing it, I did today. And I would just like to say that this movie was fabulous! I'm amazed at how a simple movie can be so moving. Me, of all people, cryed practially through the ENTIRE movie. Everything just brought out all these emotions. It was so great!

There is a quote in the movie that Laurence Fishburne's character makes Akeelah read. Here it is - it's a great quote and something we should live by ...

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

Oh, and as for Keke Palmer, the girl that plays Akeelah - GIRL! You fucking rock! If I do not see this girl in more movies, I will kill someone. Someone will suffer!

So, if you haven't seen this movie, find a movie theatre that is still playing it and go see it. It's great. If you have, go see it again. And everyone buy it when it comes out on DVD. Buy me a copy, too!

This week in Long Beach, CA!

So, this week in Long Beach was actually pretty eventful. Monday, we got in and we took a trip down to Newport Beach because Christie, our Count, invited us to go hang out at a bar that she likes. So, we all went. Well, after some 2-for-1 drinks and all, people got drunk, mean things were said, emotions went flying, all the girls switched clothes, 3 people ended up crying and someone lost their digital camera! Just another night on Sesame Street.

Tuesday we all went to Disney. I've already written about this, so let's not repeat ourselves.

Wednesday, we kinda rested from Disney, went to the gym, and I got a new phone! T-Mobile has this cool thing that after 11 months, you can kinda trade in your phone. So, this phone, which I believe is usually like $200, only cost me about $70 - after I send in the rebate! WOO HOO! It's a cute little phone, and all the ring tones sounds like gay club mixes ... It's hilarious!

Then shows started. This was our last theatre! :( We only have 2 weeks left, and we are back in arenas! YAH!

Friday, Jeffo and I went out with his friend Jeffrey and Jeffery's friend Arie. Yah, try keeping all that straight once you add alcohol! Well, we had a fun time, too many drinks, and that ended with Arie and I singing showtunes at 4 AM. Never underestimate the power of alcohol!

Saturday, M.E. and I went down to West Hollywood for Pride. For those of you unaware what Pride is ... All the gay come out to celebrate being gay. It's insane! Anyway, we went down there to meet up with her friends, and I went to see my friend Victor, who was visiting from Orlando. M.E. and I broke off to hang out with our respective friends pretty early in the night, but I had a great time just hanging out with Victor and meeting some new people! Gotta love the gays!

Sunday was the Tony's - so after I did all my laundry, I rushed back to catch the Tony's. They were pretty uneventful for me. I haven't been to in touch with the stuff that's out right now, so it was just kinda blah for me. We did have a get-together though, and everyone came dressed as a musical. I carried a bottle of "Fantastik" household cleaner, and I was "The Fantasticks!" Jeffo was Spamalot - and he had all this Spam ... Most of which I ate! UGH!

So, that was the week! Whew, we did a lot. We are currently in Portland, OR - and boy was I beat! I swear I was in bed last night at about 8:30! So, only 2 weeks left of tour!!!! WOO HOO!

People and plans...

So, after being on the road for 3 years, and having to travel in large groups a lot, I have come to the conclusion that I HATE doing things in large groups.

Now, large groups are usually more than 6 or 7 people. Roughly, the amount of people that it takes to have gratuity added in a restaurant. I do good in groups of 4, but when it gets over that, it's starts getting hairy.

I have run into this problem a lot lately on this tour. See, for some reason, people all want to do things together. I really don't understand, because most of these people don't really get along. But, we all end up going out. If it's dinner, we HAVE to ask for seperate checks, because someone will have to use a card, or someone will not leave a tip, blah blah blah.

Lately, we've been doing little outings, and it's been horrible. People can't figure out who's driving, no one has directions, people are late, etc. Then, when it is time to leave, people are in different cars, people wnat to stay later, people are too drunk to drive, blah blah blah.

I'm just over it. We are all adults here! Why can't we just make plans and communicate these plans to one another? UGH!

Disneyland!

Well, yesterday we went to Disneyland! Of course, there was the usual drama that comes along with trying to get 15+ people to all get organized to go somewhere, but once we got into the parks and all seperated, it was some good times!

We started around California Adventure, and fell into a groove. We'd ride about 2 rides - then stopped for a snack! It was awesome. Fun rides + tasty food = GOOD TIME AT DISNEYLAND!!!

We finished the day watching Fantasmic!, which is one of my favorite shows. And yes, it made me cry. It always does. So, after a day in the parks, I remembered all the fun times that I had working for Disney, but I'm not putting my Mickey ears back on any time soon!

Hoo-GAY for Hollywood, CA!

HA! So, this week we were in Hollywood! Things are always so busy in Hollywood. We perform at the Kodak - yah, the same place American Idol and the Oscars are at! Everyone is just all hyped up and it's crazy!

Well, we had a lots of visitors this week. My friends Christina and Jestina came on down to visit before they head off to Singapore with SSL! Well, it was great hanging out with them and getting to see them again!

Well, Jestina and I went out shopping one day, and Paris Hilton was in the same shop as us. That was fun. JLo was in the store next to us, and there was all this paparazzi outside. It was insane!

I got my headshots done when I was there. I went to Maia Rosenfeld - the same chick that did Dustin's headshots. They came out great, and as soon as I can get them on here, I'll put them up! Maia was awesome, and if anyone needs headshots, totally check her out!

We did some karaoke a few nights, which is always fun. Along with karaoke comes drinking, which is fun, too!

Jestina and I went and gayed it up in West Hollywood one afternoon. We walked around, checked out a few used clothing shops, and ate at Hamburger Mary's. They had some rockin' tuna sandwiches! Who knew the gays knew anything about fish? ;)

We also had some celebs come and see the show - Debra Messing, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Billy Bob Thorton, and some others! The joys of playing LA!

So, that was Hollywood. It was a busy busy time, and now I am looking forward to a relaxing week in Long Beach! Only 3 weeks left of tour! WOO HOO!

DOH! LAST week in Thousand Oaks, CA!

Ok, so I am a moron and forgot to write about LAST week! So, really quick, this was Thousand Oaks!

-Dawn came to visit! I hadn't seen her since Holland, and it was a blast! We talked about past loves, new loves, ate lots of food, drank lots of Starbucks, and had a great time!

-My allergies once again kicked my ass. They finally calmed the hell down the last night there!

-We went to Magic Mountain at the beginning of the week. Good theme park fun!

-We went to karaoke one night, and saw the CUTEST little old lady named Donna! She was awesome, and I totally fell in love with her!

That was about it! I went to the movies and saw X-Men 3. But that was about it. A rather uneventful week!

L.A. is HOTT!

So, my friend Jestina and I were hanging out in L.A. and we went to this cute little store called Kitson. Well, we were in there, just looking at clothes and shit, and I was looking at this cute pair of 2xist undies and who do I fucking see...

PARIS FUCKING HILTON!!!

There she was, in all her trashy glory! She had all the weave taken out, and she had these huge blue sunglasses on, and a big blue purse, and this cute little white jogging suit on!

I was in HEAVEN!!!

So, to you Paris, YOU'RE HOTT!

Don't be jealous. :)

This week in Bakersfield and Stockton, CA!

So, this week was out first week in California! WOO HOO! The end of tour is SO CLOSE!

So, not that much happened this week. We started out the week in Bakersfield, which is a very boring little city. Not much to do there. So, I did this...

Yup. I just layed out byt the pool as much as I could. The second day it wasn't even that sunny, but I went and layed out anyway. It's so relaxing out there. Compared to this...

These bitches suck! I was helping Shari rent a car to go to San Francisco, and we waited for AN HOUR to get picked up to go to the place, then we just ended up driving ourselve, just to get there and say that they couldn't take my debit card. It was a lot of drama, but it all go worked out!

We also went to this crazy little gay bar, where they had karaoke, and I sang show tunes - "When You're Good to Mama" from Chicago and "The Wizard and I" from Wicked. Crazy, eh?

Then on to Stockton, which also was boring. Oh, except for this ...

I am allergic to California! My allergies have gone haywire! I woke up one day with both my eyes crusted shut. They were all red and puffy and I couldn't breathe through by nose! I've been doped up on all kinds of medicine, and they still kinda suck!

Oh, and I was my birthday. We went to Chevy's - a mexcian place, and I got a birthday sombrero! We went out to some crazy little gay bar, and I had some drinks, we danced around like idiots, and had a great time!

Besides that, I have just been endulging in Starbucks, Jamba Juice, In-n-Out Burger, Chipotle, and Panda Express! YAH TOUR!

This week we are in Thousand Oaks! Tell ya all about it later. Probably Sunday, since there is no good television anymore! :(

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CODY!!!

So, since I was SO rude, here is a post about my brother's birthday. I hope he's happy now! ;)

Today is also my brother's birthday. 26 years ago, he got ME for a present. Thank God I didn't come with a receipt.

I'd just like to say that although we fight about who is better, and more talented, and smarter and such ... He's the best. He's not only a brother - but a helping hand, a guiding light, a driving force, and an inspriration ... every day.

I lived for a while in his shadow, but it's not that bad a place to be. It also encouraged me to make a shadow all my own!

Thanks for being the big brother that you are! I wouldn't want to share my birthday with anyone else either!

Love,
Casey

YAH ME!!!

YAH! It's my BIRTHDAY!!! I'm 26, which is not so "yah", but it's ok!

And just what I wanted for my birthday - two boys blowing! ;)

So, Happy Birthday to me! Oh, and to my brother. It's his birthday, too. Go check out his blog!

Ever want to do this to someone?

Grey's Anatomy...

I fucking love this show. That's all I can say. The season finale was AMAZING!

Dustin, I have to agree with you. I think that Grey's has taken first place away from Housewives.

If I was dying, I'd totally want to go to that hospital!

This week in Denver, CO!

Well, this week we were in Denver, CO. I've been there twice, so I sat out from going climb mountains or hike or anything like that.

Instead, I ran into an old friend. And all thanks to MYSPACE! So, I got to hang out with Ramon and it was really great seeing him again.

I was even funnier to see him at work... it was something like this...

Yup, he's a stripper! Now, before you judge, Ramon actually is a ballet dancer. He danced for the Richmond Ballet in Virginia, and he was dancing for a modern company in Denver. So, we went to the bar to support him. He was hilarious, and even did some ballet, just to make me laugh!

So, Jeffo and I were out pretty much every night, then I would go and fight the altitude and heat in our dump of a venue!

And that was Denver!

This week, we are in Bakersfield and Stockton, CA. We've hit California, so that is like a light at the end of the tunnel! Only about 6 weeks left! WOO HOO!!

Home...

So, tour is coming to an end. We only have about 6 more weeks left. And I can not WAIT to go home!

I've been on the road for about 3 years now, and I am done. Insert fork -DONE! It's seems that the slightest thing sets me off. It seems like every day is just a repeat of yesterday. Ugh.

So, in honor of wanting to go home, I am going to share with all of you another girl's thoughts about home...

When I think of home
I think of a place
Where there's love overflowing
I wish I was home
I wish I was back there
With the things I been knowing

Wind that makes the tall trees bend into leaning
Suddenly the snowflakes that fall have a meaning
Sprinklin' the scene, makes it all clean

Maybe there's a chance
For me to go back
Now that I have some direction
It would sure be nice
To be back home
Where there's love and affection

And just maybe I can convince time to slow up
Giving me enough time in my life to grow up
Time be my friend, let me start again

Suddenly my world's
Gone and changed it's face
But I still know where I'm going
I have had my mind
Spun around in space
And yet I've watched it growing

If you're list'ning god
Please don't make it hard to know
If we should believe in the things that we see
Tell us, should we try and stay,
Or should we run away,
Or would it be better just to let things be?

Living here, in this brand new world
Might be a fantasy
But it taught us to love
So it's real, real to me
And we've learned
That we must look inside our hearts to find

A world full of love
Like yours, like mine
Like home...

FUCK TYRA!

I'm pissed. I have missed practically ALL of this season of ANTM! So, finally, I remember to watch it. Well, IT STARTED AN HOUR EARLIER!! So I just caught the very end of it. And next week is the season finale, and I'LL BE DOING A SHOW! UGH!

I mean, I know that every season is basically the same, but I still want to see it.

Thank God for TiVo! Mom and Cody - don't you dare delete it!

This week in Phoenix, AZ!

Well, I'm sitting in the airport waiting for the plane to get here, so why not update the blog! So, Phoenix wasn't entirely exciting. Everyone was pretty tired from the crazy week that we had in Vegas. The first thing that I did when I got to Phoenix was NAP! I slept for about 4 hours! Thank you Wyndam for your super comfy beds. Oh, and I "borrowed" a pillow! HAHA!

This was the week that offers were made for next year. It's nice not being so worried about coming back. Everyone was nervous and stuff, but I just laughed! Now the fun part is to find out where everyone is going to be, and laugh because you already see the drama that will happen, or you know that people won't be able to do the role they were offered! So fun, so fun!

As far as the social life in Phoenix, I was pretty boring this week. Jeffo wasn't feeling very well, so we didn't live it up as much as we usually do. But, we did still hit the basics! Dick's Cabaret and Amsterdam were familiar faces that were great to see again! We also went to the Irish pub across the street a few times - to eat and we also went to celebrate Kristin's B-day! I was at the Starbucks in the hotel every day - and I even went to Baja Fresh.

Thanks Phoenix for another fun week! Now we are off to Denver, another fun city! Well, as soon as the plane gets here! :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KERRI!

That's my cousin Kerri! And today is her birthday! WOO HOO! She's 18 today!

I just wanted to send a little shout out to her cause she is super cool, and I can't wait to be back in town so we can hang out more.

Ain't she a doll? She'd kick ass on ANTM!

This week in Las Vegas, NV!

Yah, that pretty much sums it up. This past week in Vegas was not the best for me. MY luck seemed to run out COMPLETELY! Any money that I tried to gamble vanished in the blink of an eye. I had to go into Telly for 2 shows, AND had to do a publicity for him - one that required me to wake up at 4 AM! I lost my rather new digital camera. I got little sleep. I would forget to eat. I was a mess.
But, besides all that, I diod have a rather fun time. I saw 2 "Vegas"-y shows - Follies Bregere and Jubilee. Jubillee was much better. AND I recognized a guy that I knew from Disney. AND I ran into 3 people from the show at a bar the next night!

Well, this week we are in Phoenix - WHICH I LOVE! There is good food, good fun, and we are staying at a Wyndam - which means comfy beds! :) I'll post ALL about this week, and let's hope that my luck takes a turn for the better! :)
