Brokeback Mountain

Ok, I saw it. I loved it. I am quite emotional at the moment. That's about all I can say!

Brokeback Mountian : better than an A+!

100th post!

Oh yah! Let's celebrate!

Let's Play School...

Ok, so I am here in Minneapolis, and flipping through the channels, I found this crazy channel that has been playing REALLY BAD school kids singing musicals. It's like a really bad show choir kinda thing, with really bad choreography and really bad costumes, and REALLY BAD SINGING! Why is this on TV? Who paid to have this put on the air? I just don't get it!

YEAH FOR BEER!!!

Ok, so, this post goes out to Dustin Harder. He would have totally enjoyed my day yesterday, and I was thinking about him the whole day! I miss you man!

So, we arrived in Minneapolis yesterday. Now, on tour, it seems that we spend more time in Minneapolis than we do at home. We come here for production to learn the shows, and then on the west coast tour, you come back here to perform for a week. So, we totally know our way around Minneapolis.

Well, the girls invited me to the Rock Bottom Brewery for lunch. They had about 6 or so different beers, and some great food. They also have "The Mug Club" - where you can get prizes depending on how many times you visit or on how many beers you drink. After 5 visits, you get a pint glass. Oh, we are all planning on going at LEAST 5 times to get a glass!

Later in the night, we went to Harvey's - a bar down the street. Well, on Mondays, it's $1 drafts and FREE CHILI!!!! FREE CHILI!! I was so excited. So, for about $5, I had a cute buzz and free dinner!

Tonight we are headed to Cuzzy's for some tots and grilled cheese! YUM!

POOPED!!!

Ok, so I am totally thrilled to be on tour with my good friends Jeffo and Carrie. The bad part is that these to can put away some drinks! We've been in St Louis since Monday - and we went out Mon - Wed. And we drank every night. Well, last night we had some friends from another show come visit us, so we all went down to the bar to hang out. Well, I had 4 Long Islands (which are pretty strong here, by the way) and I hadn't eaten dinner. Actually, I had barely eaten lunch! So, I was plastered! Well, after 3 days of partying, I AM EXAUSTED! We don't have a show until tomorrow night, and I think I'll be sleeping in all day. I need to detox a little too before the weekend comes and I find myself in another bar! Oh, tour life!

HOMO BINGO!

Ok, I freakin love Bingo. It's such a fun game. I love that you get all crazy excited and anxious for that one number to be called, then some jackass yells "Bingo!" and all your dreams of winning are shot down! Well, there is only one thing that can make Bingo better - A DRAG QUEEN CALLING NUMBERS! Yah, last night, we started off our stay in St. Louis with a night of "Homo Bingo" at a bar called Freddie's. It was hosted by the lovely Dieta Pepsi! We had a good time, and our new electrics guy - who is straight and is my new roomie - came along for the ride. We knocked back a few drinks and played a few fun games of Bingo. Jeffo actually won a game, and got some Alanis CD. Fun times all around. O -69!!!!!!

COOL!

Are you one of the 235?

Feels like home...

So, I'm back on tour in the states. Back on the same route that I've done twice. And it's like a case of deja vu! It's like it's all the same, yet, it's all different. There are a few familiar faces out here, so it makes it better. It is still wierd being the new kid. I'm not in on all the personal jokes, and I'm totally not up to date on all the drama that lurks in the shadows. Not being in the show kinda makes things wierd, too. Once I am on stage, sweating with the rest of them, things might be better. But, everyone has been nice, and it seems like a great group of people. Sunday was TV night, and I was happy to know that there was a group that got together to watch. Nothing like bonding over some great television. And although it is nice to feel welcome, I still miss my tour buddies from my other tours. Well, I should go and be social and make some friends! We just got into St. Louis, so maybe I should go walk around a bit and see what's out there!

HuHot ... YOU HOT!!!!

So, I went to dinner tonight with Jeffo and Bridget - my manager and assistant manager on tour. We went to this great mongolian grill placed called HuHot. You hot! I'm hot! We hot!

Anyway, the food was AWESOME! They had all these different sauces that you could put on your stuff, and the egg rolls were delightful. I went to the grill twice and I am SO stuffed right now - it's not funny!

So, if you have one of these near you, go check it out - it's hot!

Why I Hate Flying...

Ok, has anyone read this book? I totally think I need to after the WONDERFUL day of travel I had Thursday! Ok, so, it all started with me waking up at 3 AM in order for me to get showered and dressed and packed and to the airport for my 5:50 AM flight! Well, I got to the airport a little early and decided to just go thru security and hang out at the gate. Well, while going through security, they have to run my backpack like 5 times - for NOTHING! Stupid! So, then I am at the gate waiting. Next thing I know, I hear an announcement saying that the flight is being delayed because of heavy fog. Now yes, it was foggy, but I was annoyed. Isn't this why planes use all that GPS shit to navigate them, and that's why we can't use cell phones on the planes? Well, the fog took about 3 HOURS to lift! So at 9 AM I am finally making my way to Houston, where I'll fly straight to Omaha, instead of the Houston/Kansas City/Omaha flight I was supposed to be on. Well, I finally make it to Omaha, and I am just glad that the traveling is over. Well, I go to get my luggage .... AND IT'S NOT THERE!!!! Can this day get ANY worse? Well, try not getting your luggage til the next day!!! Well, Thurs. night, not knowing where my luggage was or when it would arrive, I went to Target and did some survival shopping. So, nowe I have brand new undies and socks, along with some toiletries and a new outfit! HAHA. Oh, and we fly on Monday to St. Louis! Maybe I should get this book, just in case there is a problem with the flight!

SUPER GROVER - Ready For Action!

Hey everyone! I'm going out on tour with Sesame Sreet Live's Super Grover - Ready for Action! So, check out http://www.sesamestreetlive.com for tour dates and ticket information! Maybe I'll be in your city soon!

No E-ticket?

Ok, so what the hell are the airlines thinking? I had to have a flight booked for me to go out on tour tomorrow - which is Thursday. Now the flight was booked Tuesday. Did I get an e-ticket for a flight that is 2 days away? NO! The stupid people at the airlines would not allow an e-ticket, and had to send paper tickets! So, it is now 7PM and I have a flight at 5:50 AM and my damn tickets still haven't shown! Does anyone else out there think that this is entirely ridiculous?

BUSY BEE!!!

Ok, so I'd just like to start by letting everyone know that I am back in the states! WOO HOO!!!

Holland was great! The last few days that we were in Amsterdam the internet was too expensive, so I was out of touch for a few days. But - it was great. Despite all the shows we did (40 shows in 20 days) and the crazy travel days we had ... We still had a blast. Everyone on the show was amazing. Everyone worked so hard, despite all the bullshit that we had to put up with. And I really truly liked everyone on that tour. It was fun times, and I was over too quickly! :( But, I will see you all in a few weeks!

So, back to not checking my e-mail and such. So I do finally check it Sunday before I fly home, and I had a message from Jeffo - the company manager of "Super Grover - Ready for Action" - the Sesame show on the west coast tour. He offered me a job as Tall Understudy on that show for the weeks that I am back until Holland! YAH! I GOT A JOB! So, I should be flying out like Wednesday - which gives me one day at home! Hmm.

Oh, and he wants me to go back after I am done with Holland to finish out the tour! So, my day planner is booked til July folks! Busy busy busy .... I should start on some laundry!

Well, hope that all of you are doing well, and call or email or text message now that I am back on this side of the ocean!

2006!

Ok, this is so NOT true, but don't ya feel that way sometimes? Anyway, I had a great NYE! We all went down to the city center here in Groningen to ring in the new year. They do it a little different in Holland - they stay home and ring in the new year with family, then the bars open at 12:30 and they get wasted then! So, we went to the streets of the city center to countdown with all the other crazies out there. There were lots of fireworks and madness. Then, we all hit the bar to drink in the new year! Fun fun times! Oh, and I think I kissed most of the cast. Aww, family!
So, Christina and I spent the whole day in our pajamas, hence the Bananas In Pajamas pic. We ordered pizza, and did absolutely nothing today! Now that's a way to start off the new year! We also made new year's resolutions. We decided to let go of lost causes. To focus that energy to bettering ourselves - physically, mentally, emotionally, spritually - just an all over bettering or the soul! Oh, and to be some sexy mo-fo's in the year to come! YAH!!! :)
So, what's your New Year's resolutions???

Sudoku...

Ok, do you guys know about these crazy puzzle things that are a big thing right now? It's sudoku - a logic puzzle thing where you have to fill in he blanks with the right numbers, blah blah blah. Well, they are HARD! My roomie loves them, and has about 3 or 4 books of puzzles with her. She always encourages me to do them too. I usually can get through one pretty fast, since I stick to the quick and easy puzzles. Instert jokes about Casey liking it quick and easy here. :) ANYWAY, after I master the first puzzle, I try my luck at another ... AND IT IS IMPOSSIBLE! I will stare at these stupid little boxes for hours and not be able to figure it out. So, Mr. Sudoku ... I hate you!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Nothing like blowin' grannies to ring in the New Year! I hope everyone has a great new year! Don't drink too much, and I hope everyone has someone to kiss at midnight. I'm starting my hunt now! haha! Love you all! HAPPY NEW YEAR!

LET IT SNOW!!!

Ok, so yesterday we had another 3 show day into a travel day! Oh, we were all looking forward to the madness that this travel day had in store for us. Well, we packed our bags and headed to the venue to kick out 3 last shows. Once we get there, we find out that there is supposed to be a snowstorm later in the day. If it was too bad, we were going to have to stay and travel the next day. But wait - we jsut checked out of our hotel rooms? Oh, this was looking bad!

Well, we did travel last night. But, after being in the venue all day, we walked outside to find that about a foot of snow was now on the ground - and it was still snowing! OH, fun times lie ahead! Well, we got food, and got on the bus, and started our trip. Well, the trip was supposed to take about 2 or 3 hours normally. Well, when we stopped to use the bathroom at a gas station, we have been on the road for about 2.5 hours, and we had about 2 hours to go! We left Breda at about 7:15 and didn't get to Groningen til about 12:15! 5 HOURS!! It's ok, we are now here, and even though everything is covered in snow, we are going out tonight to ring in the new year! I hope everyone has a fun and safe NYE, and I'll see you all in the new year!

My Achy Breaky Heart!

Dude! Did anyone else out there know that Billy Ray Cyrus had a TV series? My roommate Christina and I were just sitting in our hotel room in Holland, TRYING to fall asleep, and this sitcom comes on. It's another run of the mill hospital shows. But then as I am watching, I say ... "Hey, that looks like Billy Ray Cyrus." She laughs at me, but then the credits start and we see ...

CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT? I love it! I am glad to see that he has moved past his "Achy Breaky" phase and did something else. The show was entertaining for midnight TV. The only thing that bothers me is imagining Billy Ray Cyrus being a doctor. I mean, would you be comfortable with a doctor with a mullet and a country accent? I mean- really! Anyway, good job Billy Ray!

Shopping...

Ok, so there are LOADS of shops close to our hotel here in Breda. And, as we actually had some time off today, I decided to go walk around the shops and look for something cute to wear for NYE. Well, NO SUCH LUCK. Nothing said "Hey, BUY ME!" There was some cute stuff here or there, but nothing that I just HAD to buy. Sad sad sad. I hope that there are some stores in Groningen! If so, I have ALL of NYE day to go shopping. If not, I'll just have to wear something out of my suitcase! BLAH!
