Motel versus Hotel

Ok, so this week we are in a hotel where the room doors open to the outside, as in this picture. Now, this differs from hotels where the room door would open into a hallway. Personally, these hotels freak me out a little. I mean, not only does your room open up to the outside, where ANYONE could be walking by your room, there is also a HUGE window facing the outside too. So, random people could just be walking by, and look right into your room. It kinda freaks me out. What about when I am sleeping? Is there some freaky crazy person trying to peep in through the curtains? It just creeps me out!

On the bright side, you're probably less likely to die in a fire in a motel then a hotel. Think about it, you don't have to run the risk of being trapped in some hallway that's filling with smoke. Of course, if you're in a motel and the fire is right outside your door, you're just kind of screwed.

Hmmm, there are other times that its better, (good point on the fire). Not having to deal with elevators. In the summer or good weather you can actually open your door and be right outside. You remember some of the fun hotels, there not all bad. Plus, you have a roommate, what about us poor girls who are all alone....And, why aren't you shutting your blinds? Hmmm?

Hey, at least you can sit on your "porch" and throw back a few beers while still watching the "game" on TV!
