And we turn the page and end another chapter of our lives. I wrapped up my tour with Sesame Street Live! a few weeks ago. After leaving them for a bit, and just doing replacement work here and there, it was crazy going back and doing a WHOLE tour from start to finish. But overall, it was a great experience.
I was supposed to be Big Bird, but right before production started, I was asked to move to Tall Understudy - meaning having to understudy 5 roles besides my own. A challenge - but I took it.
My performance director used us often and really put our understudy abilities to the test. I got to do roles I'd never done, and got to get back into some characters that seem to NEVER leave! It was hard. It was stressful. It was fun.
But now that chapter is done. I'm back home in Louisiana for a bit, and headed to NYC in July to housesit for some friends for a few weeks. Hopefully in that time, I can find a place and a job and start a new chapter in NYC. It's around that time to just get out there and start something new. A new challenge. A new adventure.
