Oh my mocha!


So, a whole lot happened our last week of tour. So much, that writing it all into one post like I normally do would take to long. So, I am going to make it into a whole lot of little post - since there is really nothing to write about here in Louisiana!

Well, one day last week, Emmy, Kristin, and I decided to take a trip on down to the beach. Now, have I mentioned that anytime I go somewhere with these two, it becomes and adventure?

Well, we decided to take the bus to the beach. Oh the joys of public transportation. Well, after an hour long adventure, we got to the beach, had a grea time, got a little sunburned, and had a great day!

Well, we had stopped to get change and check out another beach on the way, and we found this AMAZING coffee place. It was called the Pacific Bean - which is funny cause we were at Pacific Beach. Anyway, this place had a HUGE menu of MOCHAS! Now, if you know me, you know I LOVE a cafe mocha! I swear there were AT LEAST 20 different kinds of mochas!

Kristin got a peanut butter cup mocha, and I got a chocolate banana mocha. Emmy was a mocha traitor and just got a latte. Anyway, the mocha was amazing and it was a great treat that kept us energized for the adventure that lay ahead!

Oh, and that is a pic of the lady that owns the place. She was a fucking hoot! I didn't say that I wanted mine iced, and when the other lady that was making mine asked me, she turns around and says, "He needs to learn how to order. If he wants it iced, he needs to say so. If not, he'll just drink it the way I make it!" I died laughing! And I was too scared to ask for no whip cream!

The Final Bow...



That's it. The End. All done!

Yup, tour is over, and I have returned home to Louisiana. I have no idea what I am going to do now - and I love it. I have some plans in the works to do some local theatre stuff with my brother, which is cool. Besides that, I am going to take a little time off to relax and breathe, and then I'll find a job, and join the real world again!

Looking back on tour, it was a great 3 years that I would not give back for the world. I saw so many places, met so many people ... nothing can beat that! I will miss it all, but it was time for me to say goodbye for a while.

So, I'll leave you all with a little quote ...

This week in Portland, OR!



So, this past week we were in Portland, OR. Portland was a bit of a change from our last few weeks in California. The weather was a little chillier, but it was still nice.

I really didn't do TOO much in Portland. Since the tour is winding down, I've just been hanging out, not doing too much.

Umm, one day I went wine tasting with some of the girls. We went to a few wineries, tasted a bunch of wines, and then each bought a bottle. There was an amazing dessert wine that tasted like fruit punch, and a red that was made for people who like white! It was good too!

We also drank a lot of coffee. There are SO many coffee shops in Portland. I swear these people run off of this stuff. Well ... So do we. I think I had coffee every day before work. They also had this extra strength espresso that I had before blocking. It really hit me, and I was sweating like a mad man during blocking. It was CRAZY! So, I love the coffee - and I'm super looking forward to some homestyle Community Coffee! YUM!!!

It was also Pride in Portland last week. Jeffo and I went out, and it was pretty lame. We just ended up sitting in a bar, drank some drinks, and watched the gays pass by. Fun times!

I also tried the new KFC bowl thingy - with the mashed potatoes, corn, and chicken. It was DAMN good. I suggest everyone go out and try it ... but make sure the arteries are unclogged first! :)

Well, we are on out final week of tour - San Diego! I'll let you know how it goes!

So, I had been wanting to see this movie for the longest time. I drink Starbucks all the time, so I saw all the advertisment for it. Hey, if Starbucks makes it, is has to be good!

So, after many failed attempts at seeing it, I did today. And I would just like to say that this movie was fabulous! I'm amazed at how a simple movie can be so moving. Me, of all people, cryed practially through the ENTIRE movie. Everything just brought out all these emotions. It was so great!

There is a quote in the movie that Laurence Fishburne's character makes Akeelah read. Here it is - it's a great quote and something we should live by ...

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. Oh, and as for Keke Palmer, the girl that plays Akeelah - GIRL! You fucking rock! If I do not see this girl in more movies, I will kill someone. Someone will suffer!

So, if you haven't seen this movie, find a movie theatre that is still playing it and go see it. It's great. If you have, go see it again. And everyone buy it when it comes out on DVD. Buy me a copy, too!

This week in Long Beach, CA!

So, this week in Long Beach was actually pretty eventful. Monday, we got in and we took a trip down to Newport Beach because Christie, our Count, invited us to go hang out at a bar that she likes. So, we all went. Well, after some 2-for-1 drinks and all, people got drunk, mean things were said, emotions went flying, all the girls switched clothes, 3 people ended up crying and someone lost their digital camera! Just another night on Sesame Street.

Tuesday we all went to Disney. I've already written about this, so let's not repeat ourselves.

Wednesday, we kinda rested from Disney, went to the gym, and I got a new phone! T-Mobile has this cool thing that after 11 months, you can kinda trade in your phone. So, this phone, which I believe is usually like $200, only cost me about $70 - after I send in the rebate! WOO HOO! It's a cute little phone, and all the ring tones sounds like gay club mixes ... It's hilarious!

Then shows started. This was our last theatre! :( We only have 2 weeks left, and we are back in arenas! YAH!

Friday, Jeffo and I went out with his friend Jeffrey and Jeffery's friend Arie. Yah, try keeping all that straight once you add alcohol! Well, we had a fun time, too many drinks, and that ended with Arie and I singing showtunes at 4 AM. Never underestimate the power of alcohol!

Saturday, M.E. and I went down to West Hollywood for Pride. For those of you unaware what Pride is ... All the gay come out to celebrate being gay. It's insane! Anyway, we went down there to meet up with her friends, and I went to see my friend Victor, who was visiting from Orlando. M.E. and I broke off to hang out with our respective friends pretty early in the night, but I had a great time just hanging out with Victor and meeting some new people! Gotta love the gays!

Sunday was the Tony's - so after I did all my laundry, I rushed back to catch the Tony's. They were pretty uneventful for me. I haven't been to in touch with the stuff that's out right now, so it was just kinda blah for me. We did have a get-together though, and everyone came dressed as a musical. I carried a bottle of "Fantastik" household cleaner, and I was "The Fantasticks!" Jeffo was Spamalot - and he had all this Spam ... Most of which I ate! UGH!

So, that was the week! Whew, we did a lot. We are currently in Portland, OR - and boy was I beat! I swear I was in bed last night at about 8:30! So, only 2 weeks left of tour!!!! WOO HOO!

People and plans...


So, after being on the road for 3 years, and having to travel in large groups a lot, I have come to the conclusion that I HATE doing things in large groups.

Now, large groups are usually more than 6 or 7 people. Roughly, the amount of people that it takes to have gratuity added in a restaurant. I do good in groups of 4, but when it gets over that, it's starts getting hairy.

I have run into this problem a lot lately on this tour. See, for some reason, people all want to do things together. I really don't understand, because most of these people don't really get along. But, we all end up going out. If it's dinner, we HAVE to ask for seperate checks, because someone will have to use a card, or someone will not leave a tip, blah blah blah.

Lately, we've been doing little outings, and it's been horrible. People can't figure out who's driving, no one has directions, people are late, etc. Then, when it is time to leave, people are in different cars, people wnat to stay later, people are too drunk to drive, blah blah blah.

I'm just over it. We are all adults here! Why can't we just make plans and communicate these plans to one another? UGH!

Disneyland!


Well, yesterday we went to Disneyland! Of course, there was the usual drama that comes along with trying to get 15+ people to all get organized to go somewhere, but once we got into the parks and all seperated, it was some good times!

We started around California Adventure, and fell into a groove. We'd ride about 2 rides - then stopped for a snack! It was awesome. Fun rides + tasty food = GOOD TIME AT DISNEYLAND!!!

We finished the day watching Fantasmic!, which is one of my favorite shows. And yes, it made me cry. It always does. So, after a day in the parks, I remembered all the fun times that I had working for Disney, but I'm not putting my Mickey ears back on any time soon!

Hoo-GAY for Hollywood, CA!


HA! So, this week we were in Hollywood! Things are always so busy in Hollywood. We perform at the Kodak - yah, the same place American Idol and the Oscars are at! Everyone is just all hyped up and it's crazy!

Well, we had a lots of visitors this week. My friends Christina and Jestina came on down to visit before they head off to Singapore with SSL! Well, it was great hanging out with them and getting to see them again!

Well, Jestina and I went out shopping one day, and Paris Hilton was in the same shop as us. That was fun. JLo was in the store next to us, and there was all this paparazzi outside. It was insane!

I got my headshots done when I was there. I went to Maia Rosenfeld - the same chick that did Dustin's headshots. They came out great, and as soon as I can get them on here, I'll put them up! Maia was awesome, and if anyone needs headshots, totally check her out!

We did some karaoke a few nights, which is always fun. Along with karaoke comes drinking, which is fun, too!

Jestina and I went and gayed it up in West Hollywood one afternoon. We walked around, checked out a few used clothing shops, and ate at Hamburger Mary's. They had some rockin' tuna sandwiches! Who knew the gays knew anything about fish? ;)

We also had some celebs come and see the show - Debra Messing, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Billy Bob Thorton, and some others! The joys of playing LA!

So, that was Hollywood. It was a busy busy time, and now I am looking forward to a relaxing week in Long Beach! Only 3 weeks left of tour! WOO HOO!

DOH! LAST week in Thousand Oaks, CA!


Ok, so I am a moron and forgot to write about LAST week! So, really quick, this was Thousand Oaks!

-Dawn came to visit! I hadn't seen her since Holland, and it was a blast! We talked about past loves, new loves, ate lots of food, drank lots of Starbucks, and had a great time!

-My allergies once again kicked my ass. They finally calmed the hell down the last night there!

-We went to Magic Mountain at the beginning of the week. Good theme park fun!

-We went to karaoke one night, and saw the CUTEST little old lady named Donna! She was awesome, and I totally fell in love with her!

That was about it! I went to the movies and saw X-Men 3. But that was about it. A rather uneventful week!
